We left Tennessee the end of January and got down to Florida one week before Talon started nursing anesthesia school so we got to play a little bit before all the stress began. One day we went to Alligator Alley which is only about 45 minutes from our house and we saw a ton of alligators just chilling in the ditches on the side of the road. We also saw a bald eagle in its nest while we were walking on the boardwalk to see some more alligators. It's so crazy all the different animals there are here than what we are used to but it is pretty cool. We see lizards almost, frogs, or turtles just crawling around outside almost everyday. Lila sure loves it!
Lila with her friends Leighton and Emmit, she is getting so big and loves to play with friends. Even though she is a few years younger than some of the kids she plays with she somehow seems to be the leader a lot and they all do whatever she does. While we were at Alligator Alley, she didn't know how to count in order but she would keep lifting up her fingers like she was counting them and she'd say three, five, chicken. All the older kids started to say it too which I thought was pretty funny.
On our way home we stopped at the Sea Food Festival and Talon tried his first Alligator, that plate cost like 15$ and it was definitely not worth it. The Alligator was tough and chewy and not one of our favorite things we've eaten, but now we can cross that off our bucket list.
We got her some goggles since we seem to go swimming or to the beach almost everyday. She looks so funny in them and acts funny too.
It's good to read an update, I was missin your posts. Glad you're having fun in Fl. Jealous you're so close to the beach!
